It also captures and generates data on behavior that teachers can share with parents and administrators. Students can earn and lose "Dojo Points."
"Class, class?"
"Yes, Yes!"
The Paper Chain Link
As a long-term goal, a class can earn a pizza/ice-cream/any kind of party by building a paper chain. The paper chain would begin at one end of the classroom (on the ceiling). To build the paper chain, all students in the class must collectively earn a chain for every quiet line they make as they walk down the hallways. It would be a team effort for the whole class to help build this paper chain so they can earn their party. Students can earn up to any number of chains per day, depending on what you set the parameters to. You can also use this paper chain link for other earnings such as completed homework, quiet and quick transitions, or anything else your class may need improvement in. Once the paper chain reaches the other end of the ceiling in the classroom, the class earns the party! This is a great way to reinforce positive behaviors and encourage team effort. It also helps for students to see the rewards after working hard with their peers.

Students can earn Panther Paws (the orange squares) for showing how they are safe, respectful, and responsible. There are numerous ways students can earn them - such as taking out materials right away to transition to the next activity, standing quietly in line, raising a quiet hand, etc. They may also earn Panther Paws out in the yard during recess.
